The Affiliate Love Score™ is a 0–100 composite rating built from five equally weighted dimensions. Each dimension is scored 0–20, and the five scores sum to the final rating. A score above 70 indicates a high-opportunity niche; above 85 is exceptional.
Evaluates the total addressable search audience for this niche. High scores go to niches with large, growing, year-round search volume (not just seasonal spikes). We consider keyword depth, long-tail opportunity, and whether the niche supports "hub and spoke" content architecture that compounds traffic over time.
Assesses the earning potential per conversion, weighted by commission rate, average order value, cookie duration, and payout model (CPS, CPA, recurring, hybrid). Niches with recurring commissions (SaaS, subscription boxes) score higher than one-time commissions, all else equal.
Measures how achievable organic rankings are for a new or mid-sized affiliate site. Lower competition yields higher scores. We analyze domain authority requirements, the prevalence of established media players, and the availability of underserved sub-niches where a focused site can win.
Rates how many rankable content topics exist within the niche. High-scoring niches have deep, multi-cluster content trees — meaning a single site can publish hundreds of articles that collectively capture significant long-tail traffic rather than competing on a handful of head terms.
Evaluates how willing the niche audience is to follow affiliate recommendations and make purchase decisions based on content. Niches where buyers actively research before purchasing (software, high-ticket items, health products) score higher than impulse-purchase categories.
